My Day At The Met Viewing Heavenly Bodies. Fashion And The Catholic Imagination Exhibition.
The Met NY with the current exhibition Heavenly Bodies. Fashion and the Catholic Imagination , excelled beyond most exhibitions I have been privileged to visit.
Heavenly Bodies. Fashion and the Catholic Imagination exhibition at the Met, NY. From the world’s finest couturiers, the wonderful connection between fashion and religion. So special with the amazing ambience created by the ethereal music and lighting. Thought I was in heaven
Heavenly Bodies. Fashion and the Catholic Imagination at the Met Museum and Met Cloisters . Loved this exhibit where the monastic black and white Priests robes and Nun’s habits were the inspiration to designers for the last century. Particularly loved the work of Balenciaga, Givenchy, John Galliano for Dior and many others. My passion for black and white minimal styles, architectural shapes and heavenly crosses or elaborate beading was sent into overdrive at this breathtaking exhibition. The ethereal music and lighting made it one of the most outstanding fashion exhibitions I have ever seen over the decades. If you are visiting NY before October 8 I hope you will get to visit The Met and The Met Cloisters.
