Postcard From Florence 2012

It is spring time in Florence ,  the boutiques and stores are full of colour, bright and sorbet, prints and plains so plenty of tempting shopping . The shoes  and accessories are, this season ( I know i say it every season) the best ever. I could have gone crazy and i possibly did go crazy on Angela Caputi Resin  Bijoux Jewellery.

In every show, every fashion magazine and every store there is a version of big fabulous bijoux jewellery ..Angela Caputi is the best of all. I bought several pairs of sensational drop earrings and one neck piece all in this modern resin - really spectacular pieces not just  gimmicky one season looks but gorgeous pieces - probably not for the feint hearted.

Angela Caputi,situated near the Ponte Vecchio, in the middle of the Florentine old town., and also in other very select addresses in Europe This Florentine Artist designs her creations through inspirations from the 1940's American films and a passion for fashion. In 2005 her creations were displayed by the Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York during an exposition called Rara Avis.

My favourite of the big brand collections was the fresh pretty RED VALENTINO - the diffusion range so very affordable and very wearable. With the Valentino signature of divine fabrics . prints and colour this collection is younger and jaw dropping gorgeous. Do love the Dolce & Gabbana spring summer collection - like something out of a 50's and 60's  Italian movie set in Sicily - think Claudia Cardinale and Sophia Loren,  the prints are wild- tomatoes, aubergines, onions on the best shaped little dresses of the season. Very 'mad men' fifties style with fitted waists shapely necklines
