Bon Jour from the most beautiful city in the world, Paris.
It’s April in Paris, some showers as the song says but still beautiful – and the stores are bursting with colour.
The first thing I see when I arrive in Paris is the billboard and posters for Galleries Lafayette with that distinctively chic advertisement for the season – which really tells you everything but says nothing.
Lunch at Angelina – first floor Galleries Lafayette – is a good way to take a break from the mind-blowing array of world brands and unknown brands offered in this beautiful store. Every time I visit Paris I make a bee-line to this department store first for an overview of what the season is about then later I will visit many of the smaller boutiques and the big brand exclusive stores along Rue St Honore, around La Madeleine, and Palais Royale – that is also after I have shopped Printemps and Bon Marche.
Like in Italy colour is everywhere – often boldly bright but sometimes soft and sorbet-sherbet like. A pretty season coming and even if you don't want to wear the popular bright orange, pink, blues and greens there is still so much to choose from. Prints and plains, tailored or girlie and accessories to just go wild for. Fancy me going all the way to Paris and still loving Ralph Lauren (yes I do).
Shopped for some divine pieces. So chic. Was intrigued by many of the designers doing that look from the 1960's with the fitted dresses and head scarves and huge sunglasses and sexy sandals. Think it will 'catch on' big time.

Found the Didier Ludot Vintage store and also the very famous Little Black Dress Shop "La Petite Robe Noire" at Palais Royale.
Paris is just the best for me – dinner at Le Soufflé, lunch at Le Cafe Marly at the Louvre, High Tea at the Ritz and then discovering the eclectic bars and restaurants on Ille Saint Louis, Le Caveau and L'Ilot Vache.
Paris to me offers the best the world has on offer in fashion, food, lifestyle and certainly style.
Reluctantly, I say au revoir.
